FIND YOUR FLOW...
...MASTER MOVEMENT
One of the most incredible things about shooting waterfalls is the sheer amount of movement you can create, from your typical blurred water… all the way to advanced compositions with swirling leaves. And of course, when you reach a certain level, you can combine multiple elements of movement in a single shot. You will leave this workshop with plenty of new ideas and techniques for creating movement in your images.
Come home with stunning landscape images.

About Ricketts Glen State Park
Terrain & Fitness Level
We will be shooting along the Falls Trail in Ricketts Glen. The scenery is well worth the effort; however, the terrain is rocky, can be slippery, and in several areas the trail descends steeply with narrow sections. While we will be taking it slow and easy, participants should be in good physical condition and be capable of hiking several miles on uneven terrain. Please reach out if you have any questions about physical limitations.
IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS
In addition to learning in the field, we will have classroom time to focus on photography concepts and techniques.
Image Composition
Learning how to compose an image is one of the most important elements of photography and probably one of the hardest to master. Starting with this class and continuing throughout the workshop, Dan will teach you simple and actionable skills that will help you find amazing compositions in any environment.
Creative Editing
Learn an easy an effective editing process from beginning to end using a combination of mostly Lightroom with some fairly easy but extremely powerful Photoshop to finish it off. This editing method is very artistic and effective for beginners and advanced users alike. It is always one of the highlights of the workshop.
Image Feedback
Getting honest and constructive feedback about your images is extremely hard to find. At the end of every workshop, Dan will give you insightful critique on how to improve. While these sessions are honest, we guarantee you will go away inspired with new ideas and thoughts on making great images.
